Which split should your group use?
By individual: each person receives an equal share. A couple listed as two individuals pays twice the amount of one solo traveler.
By travel party: each household or group receives one equal share. The adult count carries into your trip but does not change this split. Agree on this approach with everyone first.
This calculator assumes the group shares the full stay equally. Different nights, room sizes, children’s shares, or custom discounts need a separate agreement. Estimates do not include anything you have left out.
A worked example
A $1,800 rental plus $300 in cleaning, taxes, and fees totals $2,100. Three parties would pay $700 each. Six individuals would pay $350 each. If only two parties cover the same house, each pays $1,050.
