Group planning, explained
What is TripPact?
TripPact is a group trip planner for agreeing on dates, shared costs, and commitments before booking. Organizers create a plan and invite individuals or households to respond.
Do invited travelers need an account?
No. Guests can respond using their private invitation link. Organizers can sign in with an emailed code or ChatGPT to manage multiple trips.
Can everyone vote on dates?
Yes. The organizer can propose date ranges, and each travel party—including the organizer’s—can mark them available, maybe, or unavailable and suggest an alternative.
Who can see my budget and notes?
The organizer can see each party’s budget and response notes. Other travel parties cannot see those private responses. Keep your invitation link private because it provides access to your party’s response.
Can we change the plan later?
Yes. Organizers can edit dates, costs, and travel parties. Material plan changes require renewed commitment. A locked plan must be reopened before those changes.
Does TripPact collect deposits or book travel?
No. It records planning responses and readiness to pay. It does not charge travelers, hold money, or book accommodation or flights. Review payment and cancellation terms with the actual provider.
What does it cost?
TripPact is currently in its testing phase and does not charge users. Future pricing has not been finalized.
Can I search flights and share my arrival?
Flight searches open on an external search site. Once booked, you can enter your arrival airport, local arrival date and time, and optional flight number for the organizer.
